Professor Barba receives TWO Book Awards

Professor Paul Barba’s first book, Country of the Cursed and the Driven: Slavery and the Texas Borderlands (University of Nebraska Press, 2021), has received two awards from the Western History Association.

2022 WHA W. Turrentine Jackson Award for best first book on the history of the American West
2022 WHA David J. Weber Prize for the best book on Southwestern History
